Project overview

Project overview:

The aquatic centre is composed of a learner pool, a sports pool, a toddler pool and stands.

The Bayonne aquatic centre is set at the heart of the Sainte-Croix district, in a large sloping meadow. Its architecture, particularly well integrated into the site, expresses a strong commitment to a sustainable exemplary project. The very form of the building, its siting and the planted roof contribute to minimising its impact on the environment. A large window facing due south offers a view towards the Pyrenees range. The pool hall is resolutely focused on sport (25 × 21 m pool) and learning. Removable stands make it possible to host regional competitions.
