Project overview
Project overview:
To meet the client's objectives through an exemplary project, our work was guided by 4 directions:
- Propose a contemporary and attractive architecture,
- Offer a facility combining sports, leisure, conviviality and user comfort,
- Provide constructive and environmental responses that are realistic and pragmatic, in line with the budget,
- Design a durable, attractive building with controlled maintenance.
The siting of the building naturally arose from the environmental data.
The bioclimatic orientation of the façades provides optimal sunshine throughout the day and protects the outdoor decks from the prevailing winds.
The interior spaces have been conceived as the natural extension of the outdoor environment. The reception hall, located at the heart of the facility, enjoys a panoramic view over the entire pool hall. The operation of such a facility is essential. Everything has been designed for the comfort, accessibility and safety of all users.
In order to reduce operating costs, we propose solutions to achieve ambitious energy performance. Bioclimatic design and the composition of the thermal envelope, combined with pragmatic solutions for energy production and recovery, make it possible to exceed the requirements of the brief.
From the competition phase onwards, the design has been thoroughly mastered through a digital model. This BIM model has already made it possible to confirm the economic compatibility of the project and its level of energy performance. It is used throughout all construction phases and beyond, in operation, to guarantee the team's commitments. BIM is also a powerful communication tool during the design phases, through immersive 3D visualisations.
A well-considered siting that creates a landmark effect.
A simple and efficient organisation that fully respects the requirements expressed.
A response tailored to the sporting and recreational expectations of all audiences.
A bright, comfortable and frugal facility, with a perfectly bioclimatic orientation.
High-performance, well-controlled technical solutions that will significantly reduce operating costs.
A strong and attractive identity for this sport-and-leisure facility, in keeping with the ambition of the Pays de Challans.
