Project overview
Project overview:
The aquatic centre is composed of a 25 m sports pool with 10 swimming lanes, a leisure pool (with a learner area), a 50 sqm toddler pool with numerous water games, a diving tower (a 20 m deep water column) and a slide.
The cities of Dunkerque and Saint-Pol-sur-Mer joined forces to create an aquatic centre with a strong architectural identity, dedicated to comfort, well-being and low energy consumption. This facility has both a recreational and a sporting vocation, addressing the needs of schools in both municipalities, as well as the wider public, associations and sports clubs, by offering a particularly original and structuring feature: a 100 sqm diving area with a 25 m diving tower at the centre of the project.
In addition to bioclimatic design, many innovative water- and energy-saving solutions will be implemented.
