Project overview
Project overview:
EuroPAN 4 winning project
The EuroPAN competition is open to European architects under 40. For this 4th session, the theme was "Building the city on the city".
Located on the northern edge of Paris, between the railway lines and the canal, the Saint-Denis plain is a vast 780-hectare enclave of activities.
Two types of "zones" without precise limits are proposed: the "pavilion matrices", which slip modestly between the existing houses, and the "vertical hangars", available for any programme, which stack along the main street. These "zones" claim no urban nobility nor a precise architectural identity.
