Project overview

Project overview:
Our research has been guided by 4 main objectives:
- Create a value-enhancing, modern and pleasant facility, suitable for all uses,
- Offer versatile operation depending on audiences and activities,
- Design high-performance technical solutions to reduce operating costs,
- Implement a rigorous and pragmatic approach to safeguard the budget of the operation.

Creating a compact single-storey building, the project keeps its existing position, in keeping with the principles of bioclimatic architecture.
The chosen siting and internal organisation offer many advantages:
- distinct accesses and a more attractive entrance visibility,
- retention of the reusable existing structures,
- optimal sunlight on the pools thanks to a suitable orientation,

- outdoor terrace & landscaped patio sheltered from views and winds,

The project follows an introverted design. It shelters beneath the folds of a planted roof, particularly visible from the neighbouring homes. While the functional annexes (administration, changing rooms, etc.) tuck themselves behind opaque walls clad in bricks of contemporary tones, the pool hall opens to the sky through numerous skylights and benefits from a generous opening onto a planted patio sheltered from views. Inside, timber will predominate, combined with bright, light colours.

Two independent changing-room circuits and multiple distribution points around the pools facilitate modularity and the juxtaposition of uses, while preserving an interior harmony. The relaxation area punctuates the building and ensures the privacy of its users, with a separate patio.
The operation of such a facility is essential. Everything has been designed for the comfort, accessibility and safety of all users.

The architecture and the materials have been chosen in harmony with the site. They contribute to the integration and identity of the facility, while ensuring the durability of the building.
